Qualifications: First
class postgraduate degree in Library Science or Library &
Information Science under a regular college scheme from a reputed
institution. Preference will be given to candidates who possess M Phil
or Ph.D.
Experience: Minimum two years experience in managing a modern academic institution library. Experience in activities using automated information systems and specialist computer applications. Expertise with databases, internet, online searching and web editing is vital. Previous experience in setting up new technologies, such as media conferencing, mediated instruction and other library services will be an additional advantage. Those with experience in university level libraries will be given preference. Keeping the library as a research resource with latest technological advances is important to NISH and hence ability to implement latest technologies seamlessly will be required.
